What appears to be a nine-foot screen of black-and-white pixellated static is actually hundreds of strands of unspooled videotape, stretched in front of bright lights and fans.

Oshiro stretches meticulously painted canvases over 3-D wooden frames, producing realistic replicas of professional amplifiers and household cabinetry. Knobs and dials are made out of Bondo, the polyester-resin goop that auto-body shops use to smooth out dents.
