   At Deitch Projects through August 18

   Colen and Snow are known (and dreaded) in hotels the world over for their “Hamster Nests”—drunkenly executed installations of shredded telephone books. At Deitch, the “Nest” goes public, accompanied by videos and photographs from previous renditions.

2. 2. Banks Violette

   At Team/Gladstone through August 17

   Violette’s dark, sculptural installations feature fluorescent lights, mirrors, propane tanks, and an original soundtrack by the “drone metal” pioneers who render their name as Sunn O))).
