American Ballet Theater’s spring season opens this week—with the usual roster of dancers we can’t take our eyes off.

  1. 1. Jeu de Cartes

    May 26

    The dynamic Herman Cornejo is the Joker in the New York company premiere of John Cranko’s ballet, subtitled “A Poker Game in Three Deals,” on an all-Stravinsky program.

  2. 2. Cinderella

    June 2

    Julie Kent dances the title role, with Marcelo Gomes as her Prince Charming in the ABT premiere of James Kudelka’s setting of the fairy tale, to Prokofiev’s score.

  3. 3. Manon

    June 19

    The revival of Sir Kenneth MacMillan’s full-length work is one of the last chances to catch Julio Bocca before he hangs up his ballet shoes on June 22. A twenty-year veteran with the company, he’ll dance opposite Alessandra Ferri.
