Gimme Three Steps

City Center's $10-for-everything, world-class Fall for Dance festival seems too good to be true, and tickets are going fast. These three smaller troupes are worth seeking out among the megastars.

  1. 1. Pennsylvania Ballet

    September 28 and 29

Back in New York after twenty years, the company performs Matthew Neenan's 11:11 to music by Rufus Wainwright.

  2. 2. Coleman Lemieux & Compagnie

    September 30 and October 1

This Montreal ensemble makes its New York debut with excerpts from James Kudelka's Fifteen Heterosexual Duets, to Beethoven.

  3. 3. Robert Moses' Kin

    October 4

Not that Robert Moses. The San Francisco choreographer brings us consciousness- raising performance using poetry by Oakland youth.
