There's something so endearing about the performers in Vampire Cowboy Trilogy that you just want to reach out and hug each and every one of them whenever the script derails. Luckily, such moments are mostly limited to the second acta 25-minute bathroom breakand the cast bravely powers through them like a figure skater smiling through a nasty fall. Three unrelated vignettes offer lightweight takes on modern-day good and evil, but it's the cast's slick characterizations that make memorable performances out of clichéd characters (evil cheerleaders again?). The Tarantino vibe is impossible to ignore: Kill Bill-ian choreographed fight scenes channel hipster kung fu appeal (that's a good thing) and are both creatively and hysterically executed. While Andrea Marie Smith turns in the best performances of the nighther turn as The Spectator is awesomely weirdthere's no weak link in this lineup that earns the undead a long-awaited good name.
