As Lost lumbers toward its end, concluding the most convoluted game of thwarted expectations in TV history, fans find themselves … hopeful? Fearful? Confused? Will the cave drawings and time streams add up to something magical or maddening? Until then, we’re consoled by simpler entertainments: the return of AMC’s other great series, Breaking Bad; the nasa-meets-Imax documentary Hubble 3-D, which proves there’s more to marvel at in space than blue aliens; and How to Make It in America, HBO’s de facto Entourage prequel, which, like its progenitor, is proving a guilty pleasure, but with less guilt and more pleasure.
