We’ve been here many times before, with a whole family on the run, although this time, at least, it has nothing to do with the witness-protection program. Someone has framed hotshot lawyer Donnie Wahlberg for the murder of his mistress. This same someone—or is it a criminal conspiracy?—threatens the lives of his wife (Leslie Hope) and three children (Dustin Milligan, Sarah Ramos, Nathan Gamble) unless he disappears. So the five of them are forever piling into different station wagons, renting houses in states like Iowa, forging new identities, finding new jobs, starting new schools, and dealing with the same old teenage hormonal imbalances. Who knew that Sex and the City’s Darren Star had such a Fugitive streak?
