Tela Salon: Recover Hair Treatment
31 Little W. 12th St., nr. Washington St.; 212-463-8213
Weary winter locks will get a boost with this downtown salon’s nutrient-rich hair and scalp treatment. The Recover begins with a scalp exfoliation using sugar cane, maple, and balm mint, then continues with a warm rinse, a spray of a soy-wheat protein mist, and the application of honey-infused conditioner. Next, heads are placed under a relaxing steam for up to fifteen minutes. To warm the rest of the body, clients can order comfort food like soup, mini grilled cheeses, and over 100 types of tea from the adjacent Arium restaurant.
