Best Skin Potions

  • Shen Beauty

315 Court St, nr. Degraw St., Cobble Hill; 718-576-2679

Before Shen Beauty opened its doors this past fall, getting your hands on cult skin-care line Amanda Lacey (endorsed by Goop’s own Gwyneth Paltrow) required a trip across the Atlantic. Now the facialist’s Cleansing Pomade and Miracle Tonic are available on the other side of the East River. Located on a well-trodden stretch of Court Street (its proximity to the Cobble Hill Cinemas makes it a terrific pre-showtime hangout), the inviting space features a meticulously edited selection of beauty products from niche and natural brands both known (RMS, Lipstick Queen) and less so (Lubatti, Kate Logan), neatly arranged on hot-pink Plexiglas shelves.
