Dinner and a movie may be the classic American date, but Williamsburg’s newest (and only) movie theater, Nitehawk Cinema, has improved upon the age-old formula: You eat and drink while you’re at the theater. Nervous? Have one of the boozy themed cocktails (the Freudian Slip for A Dangerous Method, say) before the onscreen romance heats up. Peckish? Munch on the savory, but not-too-heavy, mushroom croquettes or the popcorn sprinkled with curry and cayenne. By the time the credits roll, you’ll be in perfect shape for a film-banter-driven nightcap.
