Cozy’s has always known how to keep a kid from freaking out during a first-time haircut (balloons, post-cut treats). But the chain is upping the ante with a newly introduced “braid bar” at its Upper East Side and Upper West Side locations. Stylists are at the ready for kids who want to emulate the likes of Chloe Moretz, Elle Fanning, and Dianna Agron—all of whom appeared with twisted plaits in a recent Teen Vogue story on the “braided updo.” Clients page through a look book to choose a style or design their own; they can also add beads, feathers, or tinsel to their braids. Prices start at $15.
