Nearby Jumelle has the trendy new talent, and Zoe in Dumbo carries the expensive designer names, but Williamsburg’s Ylli (pronounced yee-lee) has the special, simple pieces that are truer to Brooklyn’s laid-back, eclectic spirit. There are recognizably hip labels like Everlast by Norma Kamali and Vince, but there’s also a good representation of names you’ve never heard of, like Eventide and Jesse Kam—and it’s affordable. Most items, even ruffly spring dresses, are under $300.
