Best Boyfriend Sweater

    Like ballet flats, wide belts, and black opaque tights, the oversize cardigan (also called the boyfriend sweater) has segued from trend to staple. J.Crew, the Gap, and Steven Alan all have respectable versions, but Uniqlo’s cashmere version is the winner. The slouchy $159 cardigans will be back in the store this fall, in slightly oversize but still feminine proportions, and in at least ten (probably more, we’re told) colors.
