Dylan’s remains the dominant example of the modern candy emporium, but if you want a more old-fashioned vibe and some quaint Brooklyn charm, come to this tiny Dumbo store. Its focus on classic sweets—Pixy Stix, jawbreakers, Nerds, and other Proustian sugar moments—make it a sugar nostalgia fest, all displayed against white walls beneath a chandelier decorated with whirly pops and ribbons. There are nods to more contemporary confections (currently popular: Grillz, a lollipop attached to rapper-style gold teeth), and of course plenty of chocolate as a coating for cookie dough, Oreos, and caramels and in the form of the always-popular M&M.
