Best Consignment Clothing

Consignment shops are refreshingly well kept these days (see the clutter-free racks at newcomers Collette, on the Upper East Side, and the Village’s Diamonds and Cole). But Heather Jones’s sleek, 500-square-foot store is exceptionally navigable thanks to her hands-on service. The trendy, like-new men’s and women’s selection is grouped by color and often marked with original retail values, revealing that a now-$600 mink-hemmed Prada cocktail dress used to cost $3,000, for instance, or that a runway Tommy Hilfiger leather military jacket was dropped from $2,000 to $300. And if you’re in the market for, say, a size 39 pair of YSL Tribute pumps, just ask: Jones is happy to call her consignors to help you find a match.
