| A Touch Of Class |
If you're not a Mac user who feels lost in the world of OSX, you are not
alone. I was one of you. At work we run OS9 (don't say it, please), but at
home on my brand new G4 Powerbook I've got OSX. And it feels like being in a
country where I don't speak the language. So I took a class at the Apple
Store called OSX for Upgraders. These aren't the free seminars they give
upstairs in that auditorium area, these cost $99 for 8 hours of instruction
in a small, 12-person maximum group, and worth every penny. They also offer
classes on OSX for switchers (meaning you were an IBM person), for
first-time users, for digital photography (which I'm taking next) and
digital moviemaking. If you feel lost, this is your roadmap. And it's a lot
cheaper than hiring a professional mac geek to come to your house.
