Granted, I know very few people who keep live chickens in the city (there were rumors about the Szechuan restaurant on 24th and 9th and their “fresh chicken,” but those were quelled a while ago). However, I do have a few friends who have tried to raise chickens in the country, which, it turns out, is much harder than it sounds. While paging through the latest issue of World of Interiors (the most gorgeous interiors magazine on the planet), I saw this chicken house, called the Eglu. Unfortunately, it's only available in the UK, but, I’ll bet if you called and begged you could work something out.
