Joey Lawrence Indicted in Crimes of Passion, Fashion

  • 4/20/07 at 1:19 PM
They keep killing the men off in Chicago. Not just the husbands and boyfriends but also the pop stars who play them onstage. Usher’s come and gone. So has Huey Lewis. Now, um, Joey Lawrence, the former Blossom star who scored a No. 19 hit with “Nothin' My Love Can't Fix” in 1993, will take over the role of Billy Flynn on May 4. He’d do well to draw on past performances for his Broadway debut as a sleazy lawyer; the music video of “Nothin’ My Love Can’t Fix” breaks a few laws of its own. Check it out, but don’t blink or you’ll miss the simulated dance blowjob on the blacktop. —Drew Pisarra
