MoMA's expansive Richard Serra retrospective doesn't officially open until June 3, but two of Serra's monumental nineties sculptures, Intersection II and Torqued Ellipse IV, are already installed in the museum's Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden. How on earth did MoMA get these monstrous works of art into the garden? In this time-lapse video, big honking chunks of weatherproof steel dance around, dangled by cranes, before finally settling into place.
