Cage Untouchable?: Nicolas Cage is in talks to star in Brian De Palma's prequel to The Untouchables, Capone Rising, for Paramount. Cage would star as young Al Capone, before he is driven to the dark side by a thirst for power and the evil midichlorians in his blood. [Variety]

Ritchie Ready to Rock: Director Guy Ritchie will film RocknRolla this summer. Script, by Ritchie, is an action-comedy in the vein of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Joel Silver will produce. [HR]

Bello Joins Mummy: Maria Bello replaces Rachel Weisz in third Mummy film, playing Brendan Fraser's wife and co-adventurer. Well, who doesn't like money? (We guess, in retrospect, that could be the one-liner at the end of any of these news items.) [Variety]

Cole, Coolidge Team Up: Two great supporting actors take the lead in Say Hello to Stan Talmadge, indie directed by David Moreton. Gary Cole plays a 1979 father, and Jennifer Coolidge his ex-wife. Lumbergh meets Stifler's Mom! [HR]

Bates Back to Stage: Kathy Bates to star in premiere of new Terrence McNally play, Unusual Acts of Devotion, for Philadelphia Theater Company this fall. Company's slate also includes The Happiness Lecture, new work from Bill Irwin (Fool Moon). Expect the two to pair up for a clowns-in-a-hot-tub comedy on dark nights. [Variety]
