Homer Simpson as Karl Lagerfeld (Pre-Diet, Of Course)

First 7-Elevens. Now, Paris ready-to-wear. Is nothing safe from the marketing might of the Simpsons movie? Fashionista runs scans of the August issue of Harper's Bazaar, in which Homer and company run amok with fashion's superstars. Who knew Marge was such a fox in Versace? Or that Homer could double as Karl Lagerfeld (pre-diet, of course)? But next to Marge's ballooning sizes in the spread (we feel your pain, sister), the best part of Julius Preite's illustrations are the Simpsonized designers: spot-on caricatures of Donatella, Marc, Viktor & Rolf, Alber Elbaz, and Karl himself. Even the robotic emotionlessness of Linda Evangelista's face makes us forget that this is but a mere cartoon. —Amina Akhtar
