A Bender for Your Next Bender

In a desperate, last-ditch attempt to make alcohol consumption popular again, New Zealand inventor Simon Jansen is hard at work building a real-life, remote-controlled version of Futurama's alcoholic android Bender that will — fingers crossed — actually brew beer! Jansen, who got the idea from his "drinking buddy Dave," is also giving his robot a programmable brain and a speaker system, which will play Bender catchphrases like "Bite my shiny metal ass!" and "Burrrrrrp!"
