LCT Cymbeline's Starry Cast: Lincoln Center Theater announces first casting for November Broadway run of Shakespeare's Cymbeline. Michael Cerveris, Phylicia Rashad, Martha Plimpton, John Cullum sign up for the challenging task of making audiences attend that one Shakespeare play no one knows anything about. In fact, when the cast assembles for rehearsals, it will be the first time anyone on Earth has read the play for 400 years. [Playbill]

Cohn Comes Back: Remember Marc Cohn? The "Walking in Memphis" guy? He's got a new album coming out this October, just two years after being shot in the head in an attempted carjacking. Knopf to Publish Davis's Third: Ash Green at Knopf acquires the third in David Brion Davis's epochal history The Problem of Slavery in the Age of Emancipation. The first won the 1966 Pulitzer; the second won the 1975 National Book Award; the third, due in 2013 (!), will surely earn a spot on this list. [PW]
