Angry E-mailers Rejoice: AC/DC Now Available for Download

BRING THE ROCK!Photo: Retna

When we ran our update Wednesday on Led Zeppelin's long-awaited entry into the world of digital music downloads, we almost instantly received this furious e-mail from somewhere inside our very building.

there’s a mistake in the Led Zeppelin post.

the sentence “Zeppelin's decision leaves the Beatles and Radiohead as the last megabands who don't allow their music to be downloaded online”

should read

“Zeppelin's decision leaves the Beatles, Radiohead, AND MOTHERFUCKIN’ AC/DC as the last megabands who don't allow their music to be downloaded online. BRING THE ROCK!”

thank you.

Thankfully, our mysterious e-mailer may now raise his leather-glove-clad fists in triumph, because AC/DC just announced they'll sell their music online, though only via Verizon Wireless, not the iTunes Music Store. The bad news for AC/DC fans like our e-mailer is that there's little functional difference between bringing the rock on a platform no one uses and not bringing the rock at all.
