Gosh, Isn’t Jamie Foxx the Greatest?

What a guy!Photo: Getty Images (2)
Earlier today we accidentally came across an article about the man who once imitated Stevie Wonder on SNL and went on to win an Oscar for his similarly incisive portrayal of Ray Charles that quoted the actor as saying the following, in response to a question about Michael Vick: “I know that cruelty to animals is bad, but sometimes people shoot people and kill people and don’t get time. I think in this situation, he really didn’t know the extent of it, so I always give him the benefit of the doubt.” Also: “It’s a cultural thing, I think. Most brothers didn’t know that, you know. I used to see dogs fighting in the neighborhood all the time. I didn’t know that was Fed time.” Nice, JF. Defend a guy who just pleaded guilty to the abuse and killing of dogs by claiming the practice as a “cultural thing.” We're sure the people in your hometown of Terrell, Texas, are proud to have you as their ambassador. —Nick Catucci
