On Friday, Vulture was first with the news that Superbad director Greg Mottola is not, in fact, Judd Apatow. Today we've got another scoop: Mottola recently told us that he's signed with Miramax to make his next film, romantic comedy Adventureland, which is based on his first original script since 1996's The Daytrippers.

Superbad may be the No. 1 movie in the country right now, but, according to Mottola, his new deal had less to do with numbers and more to do with the fact that he's made the greatest film in history. "Miramax didn't even wait for the weekend box-office totals," he said. "I think they were being preemptive." Sounds great — just make sure the checks aren't made out to Judd Apatow. —Steve Ramos
