Merv Griffin Dies at 82
Entertainment legend Merv Griffin — creator of game shows like Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and host of The Merv Griffin Show — died yesterday at the age of 82. His influence on television and popular culture at large probably can't be overstated, and without his genius we certainly wouldn't have the 1984 video for "Weird Al" Yankovic's "I Lost on Jeopardy."
