Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake's quest for justice took another positive step this weekend, as the auteurs of "Dick in a Box" won the Emmy for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics at Saturday night's Creative Arts Emmys, the Carlos Mencia–hosted pre-awards in which the television academy hands out the marginal trophies the September 15 Emmy telecast won't have time for.
The triumph of A-Sam and J-Tim should only increase pressure on the awards show's producers to let the duo perform their viral megahit uncensored on the live telecast. After all, it's one thing to ask some comedian and some schmo from N*Sync to expurgate their bawdy tune, but are you really going to censor an Emmy-winning song? Hell no!
