Which Gwyneth Will Be Joaquin's ‘Lover’?

Phoenix, Paltrow Are Two Lovers: Joaquin Phoenix and Gwyneth Paltrow will star in Two Lovers, romantic drama from director James Gray about a Brooklyn man torn between the family friend his parents want him to marry and a volatile neighbor. Will Phoenix romance Good Gwyneth or Bad Gwyneth? Only her wardrobe and makeup people know for sure. [Variety]

Will Smith Weighs Seven Pounds: Will Smith will star in Seven Pounds, re-joining his Pursuit of Happyness director Gabriele Muccino for a drama about a man who falls in love while attempting suicide. The title and dead-serious logline make this sound like some kind of Zucker-esque parody of 21 Grams, but we think they're serious. [Variety]

Falco to 30 Rock the House: In its ongoing bid to become the most awesome show ever to be televised by and for humans, 30 Rock adds Sopranos star Edie Falco to their outstanding list of Season 2 guest appearances, which also includes Rip Torn, Will Arnett, and Jerry Seinfeld. [Variety]

Genesis Tight-Lipped on Tour Plans: Members of Genesis refused to confirm any plans to extend their reunion tour past already-announced North American dates, despite rumors that Peter Gabriel might return to help recreate their seminal 1974 “The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway” concert. Man… remember when Phil “Tarzan” Collins and Peter “Babe: Pig in the City” Gabriel were in a band together recording disturbing concept albums about schizophrenics? [Billboard]

Geek Fight of the Century: The Royal Shakespeare Company announces their forthcoming production of Hamlet, starring David Tennant in the title role and Patrick Stewart as Claudius in William Shakespeare’s immortal trag – oh my God. Oh my God! It’s Dr. Who vs. Picard! Dr. Who fights Captain Picard! We have 50 bucks on Picard. Any takers? [Playbill]
