R. Kelly Would Have to Burn Down an Orphanage to Make People Stop Buying His Records

Over the weekend, MTV News posted a cute story about how, despite those fourteen counts of child pornography he currently has pending, R. Kelly doesn't seem to be hurting career-wise; artists like Fergie, Lupe Fiasco, Chris Brown, Three 6 Mafia's DJ Paul, and Swizz Beatz all profess a continued interest in working with the embattled singer, even though his case is finally expected to go to trial soon, possibly even by the end of this year. "If you didn't stop buying his albums because of the sex tape, R. Kelly would probably have to kill somebody for you not to [buy his music] anymore," Billboard's Raphael George tells MTV.

We can't help but feel a little offended. Has George even heard Kelly's new album, Double Up? How about "Ignition (Remix)"? Surely Kellz would have to kill two people — at least! — to make people stop buying his records.
