Really, J.J. Abrams? This Is What You're Giving Us?

  • 9/13/07 at 1:34 PM

So we guess the Cloverfield viral marketing machine is still up and running, though we have to say we're totally over all this hunting around on MySpace for fantasy football updates and the like. The folks over at Cloverfield Clues have found a Website for two of the characters in the movie, JamieAndTeddy.com, which if you poke it enough yields a video message shot by "Jamie," above.

So we watched it, and … seriously? This is the best you viral marketing geniuses can do? A mysterious medieval-looking manuscript and a girl with a bladder infection? It's slow-burning baloney like this that makes us wish J.J. Abrams would just go on a junket, cut a trailer that tells us everything about the movie, and be done with it.
