‘American Gangster’ Leaked Online a Whole Week Early!

In a probable case of an Oscar voter trying to bolster his own gangster credentials, a DVD screener of American Gangster, the Ridley Scott–Denzel Washington film based on Mark Jacobson's 2000 New York Magazine profile of drug dealer Frank Lucas, has leaked online more than a week before the movie's release date (though you might not want to cancel that trip to the theater yet, as the quality looks sort of crappy). Is this a hint at what's to come in a post-OiNK world, movies being leaked before their soundtracks? And which Academy member will lose his card when Universal checks the watermark?
