Coheed and Cambria advance a mind-blowing tetralogy.

Coheed and Cambria have just issued their third album, capping a tetralogy—the next CD will be a prequel!—that has established them as the greatest fantasy band of all time (the way Kid Nation is the greatest reality show of all time). Only in an alternate universe, it seems, could such geekery sublimate into such full-throttle catharsis as this combination of fleet tempos, ultrasticky choruses, and unreconstructed heavy-metal wanking. Our love is without reservation; our urging, two-fold: Buy the disc and tickets for their next NYC show.
