IMDb Launches Character Pages; All Your Obscure ‘Star Wars’ Character Questions Answered

Today the IMDb launches "character pages," which track appearances of characters in multiple movies, TV shows, and video games. The Website's example — character No. 0000001 in the IMDb's database — is Jesse James, and it's a pretty interesting page. Did you know that Jesse James appeared in an episode of MacGyver? Or that he's been played by Brad Pitt, Colin Farrell, Christopher Lloyd, Robert Duvall, James Dean, and Jesse James Jr.?

Other character pages are … less impressive. But if you are looking for encyclopedic information on your favorite forgotten Star Wars or Mortal Combat characters, now you've got a place to go! We also love the listing for Ebenezer Scrooge, which features a notation which would surely have confused Dickens: "Alternate Names: Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge / Scrooge McDuck."
