Moore, Penn, Ryder Join Pippa Lee: Julianne Moore, Robin Wright Penn, and Winona Ryder will star in Rebecca Miller’s dramedy The Private Lives of Pippa Lee for Elevation Filmworks and Plan B Entertainment. Pic involves a woman whose husband falls for a younger woman, leading her to explore her buried sexuality. Variety is unspecific about casting, so we’re guessing: Penn as the wife, Ryder as the younger woman, and Moore as the Personification of Buried Sexuality. Place your bets! [Variety]

All Tyra, All The Time: Tyra Banks signs an expansive deal with Warner Bros. to create scripted programming, reality shows, and straight-to-DVD movies while continuing to host her own talk show as well as America’s Next Top Model. Gooding Goes to War: Cuba Gooding, Jr. will star in The Way of War, an actioner about a paramilitary operative who discovers a deadly conspiracy. Given that Gooding is top-lining, we can logically assume the lead role was turned down by Erik Estrada, Carrot Top, and Ernest Borgnine. [Reuters]

Empty Chairs: Broadway impresario Cameron Mackintosh announces that his current Broadway production of Les Misérables will close on January 6 after 479 performances. He will then revive it in four months with a cast of 18-year-olds working for Hot Pockets. Get your tickets now! [Playbill]
