Alan Moore, Art Spiegelman, and Daniel Clowes Crack Wise on ‘The Simpsons’

Alternative-comics legends Alan Moore, Art Spiegelman, and Daniel Clowes turned up in Sunday night's episode of The Simpsons, forcing millions of viewers to nod along and not quite get a pretty hilarious joke about "Watchmen Babies." We're not too surprised to see Clowes and Spiegelman wisecracking, but the famously sullen Moore is a revelation as a comic actor in this clip. Perhaps he ought to look into further voice-over work on the show — we forget, do they already have a grumpy bearded recluse who worships a serpent god called Glycon living in Springfield? Not to typecast, but he'd be perfect for that. —Matthew Perpetua
