Broadway stagehands union Local One reached a tentative agreement with the League of American Theatre Owners and Producers last night, ending the nineteen-day walkout that's forced countless tourists to see Pygmalion and The Grinch against their will. Details of the resolution have not yet been announced, but many shows are set to resume performances tonight — good news because the other strike means Grey's Anatomy is in reruns.

The city comptroller's office estimates that the walkout has cost New York nearly $40 million, which seems fairly conservative given the price of orchestra seats to Young Frankenstein.
