Broadway stagehands went on strike this morning, shutting down 27 of 35 shows and probably ruining innumerable weekend plans. Producers are offering refunds for anyone holding tickets to canceled performances. But while Spamalot and Mama Mia! may be dark, all isn't lost. Here are some still-running shows recommended by New York theater critic Jeremy McCarter:

Broadway:
Pygmalion [NYM]
Mauritius [NYM]

Off Broadway:
Black Watch [NYM]
Gone Missing [NYM]
The Overwhelming [NYM]
Things We Want [NYM]
