Vulture

Critics loved ‘Ratatouille’—more importantly, so did kids.

No less an authority than David Edelstein said that Pixar topped itself with this kid-and-foodie classic. There's a Spielbergian feel to the direction. The slapstick is balletic. Patton Oswalt, who voices Remy the rat, has the snap of a young Richard Dreyfuss. But you're not buying this for a professional movie critic — you're getting it for the kid who either loved it in the theater, or was so deprived as to have it withheld until now.
