Sure, most of us have indulged in Corner Bistro’s delightfully cheap eight-ounce burgers and crispy fries, but no matter how passionate the carnivore, no one has an affinity to the classic West Village bar and eatery quite like that of photographer Jeffrey Sheehan. During his ten years shelling out McSorley’s from behind the bar (his father was a bartender there in the sixties, and his grandfather a regular twenty years before that), Sheehan photographed the bistro’s fixtures and denizens, such as this cranky man pictured here. We get it — the line stresses us out too. Sheehan’s photographs are up at Chelsea’s 2/20 Gallery through tomorrow. —Rachel Wolff
