Artist Marcus Tremonto Can See Inside Your Chandelier's Soul

Lighting designer and artist Marcus Tremonto offers an interesting solution to clunky, hard-to-install, totally-impractical-but-nonetheless-coveted chandeliers. While lovely, innovative, and sort of sci-fi, at $14,000 a pop, his high-tech designs, such as the X-ray-like BaRoke pictured above, are unlikely to reach us plebeians anytime soon. Tremonto’s works will be up at Chelsea auction house Phillips de Pury through the end of the month. —Rachel Wolff
