Vulture

Edited by Dan Kois & Lane Brown

Once again, Ghostface Killah makes year’s best rap disc.

Like we said, Big Doe Rehab’s coke-slingin’ dramas do not miss — it's hard to imagine that any of the thousand rap records coming out next month will best this one. “Yolanda’s House” just keeps growing on us: Ghost channels a weeded-out dude who dines on fish sticks in a lady’s apartment … while fleeing the cops. Before Casanova Ghost can take advantage of the situation, the sounds of walkie-talkies force him to his feet once more. We won’t spoil the ending, except to say that it involves Method Man’s balls and something called “mash[ing] the white yorkie.”
