Stop-Motion Animation Explained by Doomed Lego Guy

  • 12/20/07 at 2:30 PM

We thought you could use a change of pace from the human-uvula-painin' ways of last week's film — this week's movie is short, sweet, and even a little educational, sort of. We were shocked recently to discover that a couple of our readers didn't quite understand just how stop-motion animation worked. So, we unearthed this little gem, which was created last year by Canadian high schooler Joel Plosz for a science-fair project. It's fairly self-explanatory: Lego man comes onscreen to explain how stop-motion animation works. Lego man is eaten by dinosaur. The masses are informed and ennobled. Enjoy. —Bilge Ebiri
