Artist Marc Dennis Paints a Waspital

Marc Dennis’s photorealistic painting True to Life pictures wasps as many of us — well, at least those of us who have ever been stung (index finger, 1996) — like to see them: dead. His solo show of equally impressive flowers, foliage, and beetles opens at the uptown Hirschl & Adler Modern gallery on Valentine’s Day. —Rachel Wolff
