Julie Delpy Romance Neatly Skewers Paris

  • 2/5/08 at 3:14 PM

This darkly hilarious anti-Paris romance from Julie Delpy is the perfect antidote for the New York blues. That is, if you’re stuck in a rut, craving some place more romantic, intelligent, and suave — like Adam Goldberg’s New York neurotic in the film — Delpy, as director and lead love interest, is here to say that crude, snotty, xenophobic, sex-obsessed, and tourist-wrecked Paris is no better. But again, maybe it’s no worse.
