Unless we missed something — which we did not — there were at least three notable omissions in last night's In Memoriam tribute montage: Norman Mailer, Brad Renfro, and Roy Scheider. Apparently any departed stars wishing to be honored had to have died between February 1, 2007 and January 31, 2008, meaning Scheider missed the cutoff by just nine days (this strikes us as a pretty stupid rule — how long does it take them to edit together these montages, anyway?). But there's probably no excuse for not including Mailer or Renfro, is there?
