Exclusive Comics Excerpt: ‘Haunted’

As French cartoonist Philippe Dupuy jogs through the park, he runs around and sometimes through the stories of the misfit characters that haunt him. As the ground gives way beneath his feet, he looks inward, sketching a portrait of a man digging furiously inside his own brain. Today on the Comics Page, we're proud to present an excerpt from Haunted, a new graphic novel by a winner of the Grand Prix at the 2008 Angoulême Festival, Philippe Dupuy. Haunted is out this week from Drawn and Quarterly.

Dupuy and his frequent cartooning partner Charles Berberian will appear in conversation at Housing Works Cafe tonight at seven, discussing "The Global Graphic Novel: Straight Out of Angoulême."
