Rush Release of New Raconteurs Album Expedited by iTunes, Pirates

Courtesy of iTunes, we guess.

Early this month, as the story goes, Jack White walked into the offices of his record label with the finished masters of the new Raconteurs album and demanded that they release it ASAP. Never ones to back down from a challenge, Warner Bros. arranged to have it in stores on March 25, as was announced on Tuesday. This morning, though, Apple managed put it out even sooner when they accidentally made it for sale on iTunes. At least a few people purchased it before it was taken down, and copies are floating around on file-sharing services right now. Jack White is going to be SO EXCITED!
