‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’ Return to Your Television!

We’re glad this made-to-replay movie connected with the kiddies; the thought of a new generation embracing the cheeky, squeaky crew warms our nostalgia-ridden hearts. In this live-action take, struggling songwriter Dave (Jason Lee) strikes gold with the trio, but a smarmy record-label exec Ian (David Cross) works to exploit the naïve bunch. Before the happy ending, we get no shortage of the can’t-listen-just-once Chipmunk jams — topped off, of course, with the classic “Chipmunk Song.”
