"Betrayed Witches" is the title of Angelo Filomeno's show of embroidered paintings using a range of delicate and splintering materials like silk, crystals, and onyx. Here, a bug and a butterfly are anthropomorphized somehow (with names Rex and Regina), or at least rendered more beautiful and yet more freakish than any taxonomist might do. "Betrayed Witches" at Gallery Lelong in Chelsea ends this Saturday, April 12. —Emma Pearse
